As the evening arrives, we will step into the timeless beauty of Dubrovnik’s Old Town with a guided walk, wandering through ancient stone streets, golden light, and the quiet magic of this historic place. Our evening will continue with a beautiful dinner at Dubrovnik’s Old Port, where we will gather by the sea and enjoy delicious Croatian food.

According to local legend, when the Benedictine monks were compelled to
leave this paradise on Earth, they placed a curse upon the island:
“Let anyone who claims Lokrum for their own personal possession be cursed, for the island should remain available to all.”
This tale adds a layer of myth and mystique to the island, deepening its enchanting allure."
Day 5 - Ston & the Flavours of Pelješac
June 01, Tuesday

Ston

Winery

YOGA & BRUNCH
We start the day by awakening the body through gentle yoga movements, followed by a nourishing brunch with Norwegian salmon tasting.
STON — HISTORY & HERITAGE
A visit to the historic town of Ston invites us to wander through its ancient walls and connect with the landscape, history, and traditions that have shaped this extraordinary part of the Adriatic.
Ston became especially important in the 14th and 15th centuries, as the Ottoman Empire expanded through the Balkans and drew closer to the territories of the Dubrovnik Republic. To protect this vital region, the Republic strengthened Ston and built its extraordinary defensive walls, creating one of Europe’s longest fortified systems. The walls stretched across the rugged landscape between Ston and Mali Ston, protecting the peninsula and its precious salt pans — an essential source of wealth for Dubrovnik.
For centuries, Ston’s saltworks produced salt from the natural seawater through a traditional process of sun and wind evaporation. This seemingly simple mineral was once an immensely valuable commodity, making the salt pans an important part of Dubrovnik’s economy and a reason for the town’s powerful fortifications.
PELJEŠAC — VINES, OLIVES & OYSTERS
Beyond its fascinating history, Ston is a gateway to the rich landscape and flavours of the Pelješac Peninsula. The hills are covered with vineyards and olive groves, where generations of families have cultivated the land and produced distinctive local wines and olive oil. In the sheltered waters of Mali Ston Bay, another ancient tradition thrives: oyster farming. The bay is renowned for its exceptionally delicate oysters, nourished by the meeting of fresh and salt water.
LOCAL WINERY — WINE TASTING
We will also visit a local winery, where we can taste the wines of Pelješac and experience the traditions and passion that have shaped the region’s winemaking culture. The winery’s wines have received numerous gold medals at prestigious international competitions, a testament to the exceptional quality of Pelješac’s wines.
OYSTER FARM BY BOAT
The afternoon offers a boat trip to an oyster farm, allowing us to experience this unique landscape from the sea and discover the centuries-old tradition behind one of the Adriatic’s most treasured delicacies, including oysters and vine tasting.
